| Leonard Leroy Carr, 91, of Ocala passed away November 23, 2015. Born in Eastman, GA he came to the Ocala area over 70 years ago. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Carr was a retired grocery manager and had also managed concessions at the Silver Springs Attraction. He was a member of the Ocala Seventh Day Adventist Church and is survived by his sons, Leonard Carr, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Robert Carr of Belleview, FL; sister, Sarah Countryman of Warner Robbins, GA; grandchildren, John David Carr, Brandon Carr, Victoria Carr, Allison Carr and great grandson, Brian Carr. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Evelyn and 9 siblings. Leonard Carr married Evelyn Jackson 5 Feb 1946, Marion County, Florida. Visitation will be held at Roberts Funeral Homes, Downtown Chapel (606 SW 2nd Ave., Ocala 622-4141) on Friday (Nov 27th) from 12-1:30PM with funeral services to follow at the Funeral Home at 1:30PM. Interment will be held privately at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. |
